Dear committed brothers and sisters of the rEvolution!

The Ecotort Theatre is proud to announce that it has secured funding to make a 20 minute film of its theatrical script “NEWSFLASH !"

We will be rehearsing and shooting it on the 14th and 15th of June in Dalston.

Ecotort Theatre has linked up with the Passing Clouds Arts Centre in Dalston, who will be assisting with the production, and has assembled a first-rate production team and cast.

However, we still need some additional hands and help. Having spoken to many of you in the past about the project, I know there is a great amount of support for it and would love to have that energy involved.

In particular, we need lots of extras for the crowd scene, and a couple of speaking parts may still be up for grabs

Also, anyone with a 3chip dv camera who is free on the 14th and 15th of July, we need more cameras, as we will be shooting a theatre production and we need at least five cameras so as to get all the shots covered . . .

Please read a synopsis of the film below, and if you are interested in reading the full script, email me at [ecotort at gn.apc.org] with "EcoTort film script" in the subject line.

The aim of this project is to raise levels of consciousness and empower people in as wide an audience as possible, by illustrating that we have the Law on our side in the battle to change the criminal behaviour of the "powers that be", which is destroying the planet we all have to live upon. To show that through a common understanding and discussion of the True Law, change is really possible.

SYNOPSIS:
" NEWS FLASH is a short, highly empowering piece of theatre about a dissillusioned tree-surgeon who is pushed to the limits of his reason after being forced to take a job as a lumberjack, cutting down the very trees he loves in order to provide for his family.

One day, he decides he can’t take it any more and quits the job, instead heading off to an interview for a new job as an organic herdsman.

However, on the way to the interview, an unexpected accident results in the Lumberjack getting arrested and taken to the local police-station.

His dealings with the police and solicitors give him a platform to express his discontent with the status quo, and to stipulate a lawful solution, which in turn sparks a global Permaculture rEvolution for the environment . . . ! ”
